Quantum repeated games revisited

چکیده

We present a scheme for playing quantum repeated 2 × 2 games based on the Marinatto and Weber's approach [1] to quantum games. As a potential application , we study twice repeated Prisoner's Dilemma game. We show that results not available in classical game can be obtained when the game is played in the quantum way. Before we present our idea, we comment on the previous scheme of playing quantum repeated games proposed in [2]. We point out the drawbacks that make results in [2] unacceptable.

Strong parallel repetition for free entangled games, with any number of players

We present a strong parallel repetition theorem for the entangled value of multi-player, oneround free games (games where the inputs come from a product distribution). Our result is the first parallel repetition theorem for entangled games involving more than two players. Furthermore, our theorem applies to games where the players are allowed to output (possibly entangled) quantum states as ans...

Efficiency in Repeated Games Revisited: The Role of Private Strategies∗

Most theoretical or applied research on repeated games with imperfect monitoring has restricted attention to public strategies ; strategies that only depend on history of publicly observable signals, and perfect public equilibria (PPE); sequential equilibria in public strategies. The present paper sheds light on the role of private strategies ; strategies that depend on players’ own actions in ...

Static Quantum Games Revisited

The so called quantum game theory has recently been proclaimed as one of the new branches in the development of both quantum information theory and game theory. However, the notion of a quantum game itself has never been strictly defined, which has led to a lot of conceptual confusion among different authors. In this paper we introduce a new conceptual framework of a scenario and an implementat...

A Parallel Repetition Theorem for All Entangled Games

The behavior of games repeated in parallel, when played with quantumly entangled players, has received much attention in recent years. Quantum analogues of Raz’s classical parallel repetition theorem have been proved for many special classes of games. However, for general entangled games no parallel repetition theorem was known. We prove that the entangled value of a two-player game G repeated ...

Quantum repeated games

In a two-stage repeated classical game of prisoners’ dilemma the knowledge that both players will defect in the second stage makes the players to defect in the first stage as well. We find a quantum version of this repeated game where the players decide to cooperate in the first stage while knowing that both will defect in the second.
